Jewelry Care
Jewelry needs to be cared for properly. In order to extend the life of your jewelry and keep it in good condition, follow these instructions
- Take off your jewelry before your morning or night routine (showering, lotion, perfume, etc.).
- Keep your jewelry away from chemicals (perfume, hair spray, cosmetics, and lotion).
- Take off your jewelry before bedtime.
- Clasp necklaces when removing them to assure the chain does not tangle or knot.
Clean your jewelry
- At home: To clean your diamond jewelry at home, use a soft toothbrush with a mild soap mixed with warm water and gently scrub the piece. Do this at least once a week for optimal results
- Professionally: You should have your diamond jewelry cleaned and checked by a professional jeweler at least every 6 months. As much as you try to keep it clean at home, the jeweler can polish your jewelry and get any grime out from under the stone and prongs. It is also important for the jeweler to check the setting and prongs of the piece to ensure stability so you will not loose a diamond.
